Cornwall's most consistent beach, in Whitesand Bay just north of Land's End. It faces west and picks up swell when almost everywhere else is flat; an easterly or south-easterly wind is offshore. Sandy beach breaks run the length of the bay, with the north end usually bigger and the harbour end more sheltered. Busy with schools in summer and with locals all year.
