Kite resort town on the Sinai side of the Gulf of Suez, two hours from Cairo. The gulf funnels a strong northerly almost daily, and it's windy from spring to autumn. Wide shallow flats and a sandy bottom make it good for learning and freestyle. The water is flat to lightly choppy, and outside the summer heat the beaches are quiet.
