Brodarica is a seaside village of about 2,600 people in the city of Šibenik, facing the small island of Krapanj across a narrow channel. It lies between the Solaris hotel resort to the north and Morinje Bay to the south, a fish spawning ground known for deposits of healing mud, with the open Šibenik channel to the west. Croatian sources describe it as a quiet place of villas and family houses, good for family holidays and swimming from picturesque stone and sandy beaches, and the village has its own water polo club.
