One of the most consistent surf spots in Liguria: the town beach of Levanto, at the edge of the Cinque Terre. It works on south-west and south swell from libeccio and scirocco storms, and is cleanest when the wind turns north-easterly afterwards. Sand and pebbles over rock; a strong local scene, and crowded on the few really good days. Best from autumn to spring.
