Anse des Flamands is the long white beach of Flamands, a quiet residential quarter in the north-west of Saint-Barthélemy, and one of the longest beaches on the island. The bay is ringed by hills covered in latanier palms, with villas on the slopes and a handful of well-known hotels, among them the Taïwana and, at the southern end, Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France. Its turquoise water is usually calm, but when the wind picks up a swell can run into the bay; the northern part is the more family-friendly end. Just north is the little Petite Anse, a natural cove where fishing is banned because it serves as a nursery for the marine reserve and which locals favour for children, and beyond it a footpath continues to Anse de Colombier. Offshore you can see Île Bonhomme. This Anse des Flamands live cam is run by St-Barth LiveCam from the hillside and frames the whole curve of the beach, the houses behind it and the water.
