Olofsbo lies about six kilometres north of Falkenberg on the Halland coast, where a long sandy beach runs up towards the Morups Tånge nature reserve and its 27.6-metre lighthouse, first lit in 1843. Bathing huts began to appear here in the 1930s, and Klittergården, built right by the sand in 1947, was once a popular dance hall. Today the beach is known for clear water, a family-friendly feel and a following among kitesurfers. This live cam is part of the MEDview network, set up with the local tourist board and looking out from a beach bar and hostel along the bay towards the headland. The Kattegat lies to the west and south-west, so winds from those directions blow straight onto the beach and are likely to suit kiters most, while an easterly comes off the land and should be left to experienced riders.
