A peninsula between Hurghada and Safaga on Egypt's Red Sea coast. The north-westerly blows side-shore across its sandy bay, stronger in the afternoon and most reliable from April to October. A shallow standing area near the shore suits beginners. Further out it gets deeper and choppy, with room for freeride and jumping. The water stays warm year-round.
