A long beach break on the Kujukuri coast of Chiba, east of Tokyo, and the venue of the first Olympic surfing contest in 2021. It faces the Pacific and picks up swell from typhoons in late summer and autumn, as well as from winter lows. Westerly winds blow offshore. Surf shops line the road behind the dunes, and it gets very busy at weekends with surfers from the capital.
