Seven Mile Beach is the long crescent of coral sand on the western end of Grand Cayman, and despite its name it measures a little over 10 km, with about six miles of uninterrupted sand. The beach is public property, so anyone can walk its full length whichever hotel they stay at; most of the island's big resorts line it, with George Town, the capital and cruise port, at its southern end and the district of West Bay, with Hell's limestone formations and the turtle farm, to the north. This Seven Mile Beach webcam is run by Christopher Columbus Condos on West Bay Road near the northern end and looks over a pool terrace, palms and sunshades to the beach and the sea. Small reefs lie close offshore and give good snorkelling, notably the artificial reef off the Marriott, the reef by Government House and the one just north of the Seven Mile public beach. Erosion is the beach's big worry: after Hurricane Helene in 2024 some stretches lost almost all their sand, and in August 2025 the Marriott announced it would bring 8,000 cubic yards back.
