A long beach east of Phan Thiet that became south-east Asia's kitesurfing hub thanks to reliable wind. From about November to April the north-east monsoon blows strong and steady, usually picking up by late morning, with side-shore conditions and choppy water. Dozens of schools line the resort strip. Nearby lagoons and sand dunes offer calmer water and a break from the beach crowd.
