The long city beach of Da Nang, facing the South China Sea below a line of hotels. From about October to March the north-east monsoon sends wind swell onto its beach breaks, while summer is usually flat and good for paddle boarding. Westerly winds blow offshore, but they are rare in the swell season. Mornings are cleanest, and there are several surf schools along the promenade.
