Four kilometres of sand curving round the Bay of Lagos, the Algarve's main kite and wing beach. From May to September a westerly sea breeze builds most afternoons, blowing side-onshore over flat water or small chop, which makes it a good place to learn. Mornings are usually calm and ideal for SUP. Launch away from the bathing areas and keep clear of the marina entrance at the western end.
