A small fishing town north of Perth that became a windsurfing capital thanks to the Fremantle Doctor, the strong south-westerly sea breeze of the summer afternoons. An offshore reef shelters a flatter lagoon near the town, while wave riding happens on the outer reefs. The season runs from about November to March, and the Lancelin Ocean Classic has been held here since the 1980s.
