A small surf town on the Riviera Nayarit, about an hour north of Puerto Vallarta. The main break is a mellow right-hand reef off the river mouth, with a softer left alongside, and it is one of the best places in Mexico to learn or to longboard. North-west swells in winter and south swells in summer both reach it. Mornings are glassiest.
