A huge, shallow tidal bay on the US border south of Vancouver, and the Lower Mainland's main kite spot, ridden from the Tsawwassen side at Beach Grove and Centennial Beach. South-easterly winds, most common ahead of autumn and winter storms, are the classic direction. At low tide the water drains a long way off the sand flats, so plan sessions around high tide. Flat, cold water.
