A remote Wayuu fishing village on the desert Guajira Peninsula, at the northern tip of South America. The Caribbean trade wind blows hard and steady for most of the year, strongest from December to August, over a shallow, sheltered bay with flat water. Facilities are basic, with hammocks and small guesthouses, and the drive in crosses open desert tracks.
