A deep horseshoe bay between the Pointe du Raz and the Pointe du Van, open to the west and catching swell when the rest of Finistère is flat. The headlands groom it, so it is cleaner and more organised than the exposed beaches nearby. Works through the tide and holds a solid size. Exposed and cold — this is the far west of Brittany and the wind rarely stops entirely.
