The first big Landes beach south of the Arcachon basin, and one of the most consistent — it picks up almost any Atlantic swell. Peaks spread along several kilometres of sand, so there is usually room even in August, when the town fills completely. Best on a mid tide with an easterly; above head-high the rips between banks are serious and move fast.
