A desert island off Oman's Arabian Sea coast, reached by ferry from Shannah. During the south-west monsoon, from June to September, a strong and steady wind blows here for weeks on end. The east coast also picks up monsoon swell. Facilities are basic, with a few camps and small hotels, so most kiters arrive self-sufficient.
