Long, north-facing beach across the bay from Santander and the home of Spain's first surf school. Gentle peaks along several kilometres of sand make it one of the best places in the north to learn, while autumn NW swells with southerly winds bring proper waves for everyone else. Stay clear of the western tip at El Puntal, where the tide rushes in and out of the bay.
