An exposed west-coast bay on Fuerteventura, below the cliffs where the island narrows. It picks up every Atlantic north-west swell, and the prevailing north-easterly trade blows cross-offshore. Sand over rock: there are beach-break peaks and a reef at the south end. Heavy shorebreak and strong currents at size, and no lifeguards — not a place to learn.
