Bay just south of Varberg on Sweden's west coast, and the country's best-known surf beach. The Kattegat only makes waves while a strong south-westerly or westerly is blowing, so surfers, windsurfers and kiters all share the same stormy days. Rocks and sandbanks spread several peaks around the bay, and a surf shop and campsite sit right behind it. The water is cold most of the year.
