A beach break at Aptos on the north shore of Monterey Bay, a short walk from the old concrete ship at Seacliff. The bay shelters it from most north-west swell, so it needs a big winter swell to wrap in, or a south swell in summer. Northerly to north-easterly winds are offshore and the afternoon north-westerly blows side-shore. Sand bottom, mellow, and a good learners' wave when small.
