Mamaia, Romania's best-known beach resort, on the sand bar between Lake Siutghiol and the Black Sea just north of Constanța. The cam looks from a hotel over the wide, fine sand to the open sea. The beach faces east, so easterly winds bring waves while westerlies flatten the water. Swimming is best from late June to early September.
