Sandy beach on the south-east coast of Gökçeada, Turkey's largest island, near the mouth of the Dardanelles. A salt lake lies right behind it, and in summer the north-easterly poyraz blows hard and reliably across the island, making this one of the country's best-known kite spots. The ferry from the mainland takes about ninety minutes, so outside peak weekends the beach rarely feels crowded.
