A small beach at the mouth of the Shirata River in Higashi-Izu, on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula. It catches east to south swell, and typhoon swell from late summer to autumn brings its best days. Westerly winds are offshore, so winter is often clean when there is swell. The banks shift with the river mouth's sand. A short line-up with a mostly local crowd; be patient.
