The village at the southern tip of Rügen's Mönchgut peninsula, where a kite school works on the sheltered bodden water on its west side. The lagoon is shallow and flat, standing depth for a long way out, which makes it a favourite place to learn; westerly to south-westerly winds blow onshore there. On the Baltic side to the east, easterlies bring small waves. Season May to October.
