Jinzun is a surf beach in Donghe Township on the east coast of Taitung County, Taiwan, below the Jinzun Recreation Area, a viewpoint and park on the coastal terrace above Provincial Highway 11. Donghe lies on the seaward side of the Coastal Mountain Range, and Jinzun's small fishing port and the old Donghe bridge are among the township's sights, along with the hills and archaeological site at Dulan a little further south. From the viewpoint the coast drops to a curving bay of dark sand with a tombolo running out to a small rocky island, and the waves that wrap around it make Jinzun one of the best-known surf spots in Taiwan; the channel that streams this cam calls it the best surf spot in Taiwan, and its thumbnail shows surfers riding a wave. This 4K live cam is run by Amazing Taitung, the Taitung County tourism channel, and the East Coast National Scenic Area runs a second Jinzun camera looking over the bay. The coast faces the open Pacific, taking typhoon swell between July and October and monsoon swell from the north-east in winter, and the beach is a steep walk down from the car park.
