A west-facing sandy bay at the mouth of the Camel estuary in north Cornwall, and one of the county's best learner beaches, with gentle, rolling beach-break waves on most swells. It picks up west and north-west swell, is offshore in an easterly or south-easterly, and works through most of the tide. Very busy with schools in summer; autumn brings better waves and more space.
